St. Mary Magdalen's church is situated in Devonshire Street off Whalley Road, not far from the centre of Accrington.

Our worship is conducted in the Anglican High Church tradition, and we also hold a more informal Mass on the first Sunday in each month in which our young people play an important role. Our church family, with its firm faith in God and his teachings, as set out in the Gospel of Christ our Lord, prays works as a team, welcoming newcomers with friendliness and warmth.

Our weekly Youth Group members get together each Monday evening between 5.45 and 6.45 for recreational activities, and the thriving Brownie pack meets each Wednesday in the between 6.30 and 8pm. The Mothers' Union meets in school on the second Tuesday of each month, with the aim of encouraging families to bring up children in the faith and life of the Church.

We organize social events for everyone - concerts, barbecues, quizzes, sponsored walks etc. These and other enjoyable activities are wonderful opportunities for us to get to know one another better and to share our love.

We have strong links with our primary school next door, where you will find a happy, caring and stimulating environment in which everyone is encouraged to develop to their full potential. Although based in a Victorian building, the learning is very much 21st century focused.
